What is a 13 Amp Socket?

This is a commonly used, regular socket for normal appliances. A 13A socket is a standard domestic 3 pin (live, neutral, Earth) power socket for UK appliances including table/floor lamps, chargers and more.

What is a double pole socket?

A double pole socket (also known as a double throw socket) ensures the safe isolation of the plugged appliance by switching both the live and neutral. This is safer than using a single pole socket.
